Job Title: Vice President, Sales
Location: Herndon

Position Description:

 

Packet360 is seeking a Vice President to build and maximize the efforts and strengths of the Packet360 Sales team. 

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all relevant activities as a member of the Executive Team.
  • Create and implement sales strategies, establish sales objectives, make calls, follow-ups and close sales in conjunction with overall business strategy.
  • Develop and deliver sales proposals.
  • On an ongoing basis, ensure current market information, data and statistics regarding competition, pricing, pricing strategies and customer requirements are reviewed and updated.
  • Introduce new opportunities, recommendations and strategies for gaining increased share of current markets.
  • Collaborate with management team on pricing and margins.
  • Develop pricing strategy for new services and/or products.
  • Lead and mentor sales staff and customer service.
  • Develop and manage staff goals and objectives in line with overall business plan.
  • Perform administrative and other duties that are intrinsic to the successful operation of Packet360.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Interpersonal skills significantly above average; excellent rapport and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to draw upon a large base of personal contacts and relationships to drive sales with key reference accounts.
  • Above average presentation skills.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; start up experience.
  • Proven ability and desire to work at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong professional "presence".
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 70% of work schedule, including internationally.
  • Minimum 10 years successful sales record in relevant industry.
  • Minimum 5 years successful leadership and sales management roles.
  • Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred.
  • Relevant additional training, i.e. sales, leadership, business.
