Job Title: NOC/TAC Technician
Location: Glen Allen
State: Virginia
Position Description:

 

Packet360 is seeking a NOC/TAC Technician to support mission-critical advanced technology systems in the areas of Data Networking, Network Security, Wireless and Unified Communications Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Incident, Change and Configuration Management services for Packet360 clients.
  • Managing the timely resolution of proactive and reactive support issues as it relates to mission-critical systems against pre-defined service level agreements.
  • Maintain client communication and coordinate multiple information requests.
  • Produce and maintain Enterprise Assurance Business Unit documentation and deliverables (i.e. monthly reports, customer drawings and related documentation).
  • Maintain and administrate Network Management Systems required for the monitoring and management of client systems. 
Required Qualifications:

Requirements

  • Must possess Cisco routing and switching skills.
  • Experience with Cisco IP Telephony environments.
  • 1-3 years experience that includes troubleshooting and maintaining enterprise-class network(s), working with a team of support technicians, and supporting highly available mission-critical systems.
  • Demonstrated professional track record based on honesty and integrity.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project needs and requirements.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and make independent decisions while working effectively on teams.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess solid organizational skills and be self-motivated.
  • Ability to approach problems analytically and methodically.
  • Ability to continuously prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic client environment.
  • Capable of identifying process gaps and provide recommendations for continuous improvement and increased efficiency.
  • Experience working in a Network Operations Center, help desk or related customer service call-center capacity.
Desired Qualifications:

Certification and Other Requirements

  • CCNA certification or equivalent Cisco experience is desired.
  • ITIL process experience desired.
  • Cisco Network Security (Firewalls) experience a plus.
  • Cisco Wireless Network experience a plus.
  • Network Monitoring / Management System experience a plus.
